“A lot of private port companies in Antwerp (shipping agents, forwarders, terminal operators) were eager to participate in 2009 and certainly will again be in 2010.  Although business worldwide is down at the moment, it is important for us to build our contact base in Russia and the surrounding countries for future business, as well as for specific industries (eg. the steel industry).  By participating in the TransRussia exhibition, we hope to be able to establish long-term business relationships with partners from Russia and the Baltic area”.

“The major volume of our transportations takes place on the East-West route and vice versa, eg. the Transsiberian route.  Transhipment from broad to standard gauge is carried out in the East-Slovak Transhipment Yards.  We expect these operations to develop and strengthen as a result of our participation in TransRussia.  Even in the crisis, we are investing in increasing the capacity and quality of transhipments in East-Slovak Transhipment Yards. The terminal in Dobrá, has been rented to TransContainer and we expect a significant increase in intermodal transportations carried out via this terminal.“
