Plaske - Ivan Liptuga – VP
Last year was the first time that we attended the exhibition.  We exhibited with a comparatively small booth.  This year, we decided to promote our company more widely and we became general sponsor of the exhibition and that gave us a very good image result.  We already confirmed our general sponsorship for the next TransRussia exhibition in 2011 and we have blocked 300 sqm for the exhibition booth of Ukraine.  TransRussia is the exhibition which unites leaders and those who want to become leaders.  The exhibition is growing.  This exhibition and ITE don’t have competitors and I like that.  We, as a company who thinks that we are leaders in our freight forwarding industry in Ukraine, like to work with leaders and ITE with TransRussia is the leader exhibition.

Fesco - Stanislav Vartanyan - VP Corporate Communications
Fesco has been participating in this exhibition for quite a long time.  This is a sales opportunity – it is not just a display but it’s also an opportunity to get more clients, to get more sales, to get new contacts, new contracts, which we’re doing very well.  The general consensus is that the markets are restoring and the economy is recovering so I think this exhibition is a very timely signal to the market and to clients that the Russian transportation industry is still here and it’s ready to provide services to clients as before.

Kuehne + Nagel - Perry Neumann - MD, Russia & Belarus
TransRussia is the largest and most important logistics fair in Eastern Europe and in Russia.  We have had a booth here for a couple of years and I’m always amazed seeing how the exhibition develops every year. It’s very important, as one of the leading global logistics providers, to participate in this important fair.  Sometimes we even sign contracts here on our exhibition booth – actually I’m supposed to sign one this afternoon.  The market is huge and since January this year it’s amazing - somebody turned the switch – since January business is going through the roof and our company published its first quarter figures last Monday - March 2010 was the best month in the history of our company.

Panalpina - Pavel Osvetimsky - Area Head of Carrier Procurement
TransRussia is important.  We are all here, our specialists are all here and we are able to talk to our customers but mainly the point is to get new customers.  It’s a bright event and this is something which we all expect during the year.  We’re looking forward to next year as well.

Port of Antwerp - Dr. Walter van Mulders - Business Development Manager
There are a couple of events in the year where we can meet a lot of people and where we can meet the right people and TransRussia is one of the events.  I hear from my colleagues from the private sector that they’ve got very good contacts and that’s actually why they’re here – to have very solid contacts to build business from.  I think that TransRussia is the event to learn a little bit more about the Russian market but also to make sure that the Russian market knows us.

DB Int - Kirstin Berdan – Events
We are active here in the market of the CIS and it’s very important that we show our presence here, and our products and services, so it’s the only exhibition we participate in and it’s very important for us.

Faerhafen Sassnitz - Harm Sievers - Managing Director
I expected less visitors and so I’m surprised that still the crowds are coming through.  We have had good talks and a lot of visitors.  Our Minister of Transport is with us here and so we had several meetings together with him.  Everything was well organised so we are happy with this.  We will be back next year.

Port of Hamburg - Mathias Schultz - Manager, Fairs & Exhibitions
We have been coming here for ages.  For the Port of Hamburg, Russia is one of the most important markets, so it is quite important for us to participate in this show.  For us, being the most eastern port in the north range in Europe, of course, Eastern Europe and Russia is our natural hinterland so it’s very important to be here.  We can meet most of our important partners here so it’s for us the most important show for our hinterland.

PKP Cargo - Daniel Ryczek - Member of the Board for International Affairs
The exhibition is a great opportunity to meet business partners from Russia, that’s the first and most important reason why we are here.  We have been participating in this exhibition for the last ten years so we know how important it is to have good business relations with this market and to be visible.  You can see that there are more and more companies being represented here and more people.  It’s a good occasion to show yourself on this market and to meet people who you would never have the opportunity to meet anywhere else in Europe.

EAS Enterprise Estonia - Heiki Pant - Business Consultant Export Division
We decided that transport and logistics is a very important area for the Estonian economy and therefore the decision was made to exhibit here on a national level.  It’s been pretty good - yesterday it was very, very busy and our stand was full of meetings.  We had a great day.

Helsingborgs Hamn ab - Kjell-Ake Ranft - Sales Manager
I think this is a very important exhibition, one of the biggest in the world.  We have been here since the start in 1996 and I think it’s getting better and better year by year.  Of course the aim is to do new business for Port of Helsingborg but that’s not very easy.  You meet a lot of people, you get a lot of contacts and that’s also important for the future.  I think the market is growing, the situation is rather stable in Russia and we are quite optimistic about the future.

Environmental Packaging Technologies - Tatiana Golovina – President
We met many new, interesting contacts.  It’s actually exceeded all our expectations.  We expanded our customer base not just within Russia but in the European sector as well and our guys have been working non-stop.  It’s just amazing how diverse this trade show is.  To be quite honest with you, I expected it to be more oriented to the Russian market but it was a very nice surprise to see so many different companies participating here.  Yesterday, we got official approval from Russian Railroad to use our flexitank throughout Russia.  I believe we will be participating in this show year after year.

EWF - Jan Maas – Director
I’ve been visiting TransRussia for the last 15 years and we decided that especially now that the crisis is starting to finish, it is important to show that we’re still on the market.  We’re very happy with the result.  We were very busy, we had a lot of interesting new contacts.  The quality of the visitors is surprisingly good –  high level visitors, a lot of colleagues from our business but also related businesses and clients.  Last year was not such a good year but we feel that business is picking up.  All our offices are performing very well.  For the next couple of years, we think that investments will pick up again in Russia.    I think that TransRussia is a very important meeting place for people in the logistics business in Russia.
